Brampton, ON – Showcase, Home of the Hottest Trends, has expanded its retail operations across Canada and is establishing a larger footprint for its national distribution centre and headquarters.

Brampton’s Mayor Linda Jeffrey along with Councillors Doug Whillans, Jeff Bowman and Martin Medeiros joined the Showcase team on February 19th for a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the move, and awarded the company a certificate of congratulations on behalf of the city of Brampton.

Boasting more than 100 stores in major shopping malls across the country and over 850 employees, the Canadian ‘retail-tainment’ company celebrated the grand opening of its new corporate headquarters. The company’s sprawling 106,000 sq. ft. facility located in Brampton, ON, effectively triples its retail distribution and office space. The new building houses Showcase’s growing operations, e-commerce and marketing teams, and serves as the national distribution hub for its retail chain.

“We have an ambitious growth plan across Canada and a commitment to expand across North America. Our new facility gives us the space to build up our team and resources to reach that next level,” says Showcase CEO Samir Kulkarni.

First, fast and exclusive, Showcase was the first Canadian retailer to turn growing trends like the NutriBullet, Zumba Fitness, no!no! Hair Removal, and Wen Hair Care, into mainstream, household products. Showcase has emerged as the retail destination for the hottest products in the home, health, beauty and toy categories.

Fueled by consumer demand for global trends, the company’s retail footprint has dramatically increased in recent years, making it a bright spot in a market that has seen many retailers struggle. In the past five years, Showcase has grown by 150 per cent, opening more than 60 new stores since 2009. That’s one new store opening every 30 days for five consecutive years.

Showcase is actively expanding its team as it looks to hire new designers, programmers and marketing professionals to grow its booming e-commerce division.
