CTV features Showcase at Cross Iron Mills, Canada’s newest mega-mall BALZAC, AB – Showcase, the “best of as-seen-on-TV and more!”, was featured tonight in a CTV news story about Cross Iron Mills, Canada’s newest mega-mall, which opened today. Showcase was the only retailer featured in the 3-minute story. Cross Iron Mills is Alberta’s first new enclosed mall in more than 20 years, located just north of Calgary. The $500 million centre opened with 1.4 million square feet, 17 anchor tenants, and more than 200 retailers. The grand opening festivities included 30 minutes of fireworks, celebrity entertainers, and sports figures. Showcase, famous for the products advertised on television infomercials, as well as other unique gadgets, chose Cross Iron Mills as the home of its national flagship store. Showcase’s concept of “retail-tainment” allows customers to “try it before you buy it” in a fun, interactive, low-pressure setting. Customers also avoid the hassles and costs of purchasing from television, such as shipping and handling, US exchange, and long delivery times. Showcase carries the hottest products in the industry, including the InStyler, BumpIts, P90X, Ab Circle, Slap Chop, and more. Cross Iron Mills is Showcase 42nd store in Canada. The chain is by far the world’s largest of its kind, and is opening new stores nationwide every 12 days. |
